What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a child at State Hwy 87 in Orange, TX on March 25th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:10 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford pickup truck was reportedly disabled in a left traffic lane under unclear circumstances as a Chevrolet pickup truck pulled behind the vehicle with emergency lights active. The driver reportedly put cones near the vehicle before a Dodge passenger car failed to control its speed and collided with the rear of a Chevrolet, pushing it into a Ford. The driver of the Ford, 40-year-old Christopher Parsley, was hospitalized. The driver of the Chevrolet, 29-year-old Nichola Ryman, was also hospitalized. The driver of the Dodge, 39-year-old Angela Deleon was also injuries her 4-year-old child passenger, suffered fatal injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
