What Happened

Officials have information on a crash in Blanco County, TX, are investigating a three-vehicle crash that occurred on March 5, 2025 around 12:07 p.m. at US Highway 281.  According to investigators, a Chevrolet Trax allegedly failed to yield at a stop sign while turning left onto the highway and was struck by a southbound Toyota Tacoma. The impact caused the Tacoma to collide with a northbound Toyota 4Runner. The crash resulted in three fatalities: the 71-year-old driver of the 4Runner, identified as Larry Higgins, a 27-year-old passenger in the Tacoma, Annett Morales, and a 4-year-old child, also in the Tacoma. Two additional individuals, including Judy Higgins, sustained suspected serious injuries. Failure to yield was identified as a contributing factor. Additional information was not available.
