Police say the incident happened around 6:20 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram 2500 was eastbound on US 82 as a Toyota Prius headed westbound. Reports allege the Dodge traveled onto the wrong side of the road, colliding head-on with the Toyota. The driver of the Prius, identified as 34-year-old Anthony Rodriguez and 31-year-old passenger, Kimberly Perez, suffered fatal injuries in the collision.
