Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 137 in Martin County, TX on February 1st, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 4:20 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado C2500 was northbound on Hwy 137 at the time. Traveling eastbound on County Rd A4100 was a tractor-trailer officials allege ran a stop sign at the intersection. As a result, the two vehicles collided, the collision leaving the 47-year-old driver of the Silverado, identified as Antonio De La Cerda, seriously injured. The tractor-trailer operator, a 53-year-old man who was not publicly identified, was not injured, according to reports. Reports also indicate a Disregard Stop Sign citation was recommended and/or issued against the tractor-trailer operator.
