What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at TX 349 in Martin County, TX on June 23rd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 4:40 a.m. A tractor-trailer reportedly failed to yield while exiting out of a private driveway before it collided with a pickup truck operated by 27-year-old Anthony Luna. A passenger in the truck, Antonio Perez Jr, was taken to an area hospital with injuries that he later died from. Luna was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The driver of the semi-truck did not report any injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
