Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at Richey Rd in Harris County, TX on January 27th. 2024. Police say the incident happened around 11:50 p.m. According to investigators, a BMW 740 was headed westbound on Richey Rd. Headed northbound on Imperial Valley Rd was a Toyota Corolla. Reports allege the BMW ran a red traffic signal before colliding with the Toyota at the intersection. Police say the driver of the Toyota, identified as 65-year-old Anvi Elkat, was seriously injured. The driver of the BMW, a 24-year-old man who was not publicly identified, had less serious injuries, police say. Sources indicate a Driving While Intoxicated charge was recommended and/or issued.
