Authorities in Ellis County, TX, are investigating a five-vehicle crash that occurred on December 23, 2024, at approximately 2:07 a.m. on Interstate 35E. A Honda Civic, traveling north is alleged to have rear-ended a  Freightliner truck tractor towing a semi-trailer. The impact caused a chain reaction involving three additional vehicles, including a Ford Escape and a Chevrolet Equinox. The 52-year-old driver of the Ford, identified as April Hendricks, sustained suspected serious injuries.
