Authorities have information on a crash that left one person injured at I-45 in Hutchins, TX on January 17th, 2024. Police believe the incident happened around 6:36 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Colorado, operated by 55-year-old Aracely Contreras, was northbound on the I-45 service road. At the same time, reports say a tractor-trailer was reversing out of a nearby business lot, allegedly with active emergency hazard lighting. Reports allege the Chevrolet performed a lane change, possibly to pass other vehicles, before colliding with the tractor-trailer. Police say Contreras was seriously injured in the collision, while her passenger and the driver of the tractor-trailer were both allegedly uninjured.
