What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-10 in Chambers County, TX on May 21st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7:34 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by a 44-year-old Oak Hill, TN man was headed westbound on I-10. Also headed westbound, in a center lane, was a Dodge Challenger operated by 70-year-old Argis Brailey. Investigators allege witnesses say the Dodge was speeding prior to losing control while changing lanes, going into a skid. It then struck and traveled under the truck, becoming lodged and causing the brakes of the truck to lock. Three juvenile passengers were evaluated for possible injuries. Brailey was seriously injured while the Oak Hill man was not injured.
