What Happened

Officials have information on a crash that killed a driver at I-20 in Ector County, TX on November 21st, 2024. Police say the incident happend around 6:50 a.m. According to investigators, a Kia Optima headed eastbound is alleged to have crossed into westbound lanes for unclear reasons before colliding head-on with a westbound GMC Sierra. Officials say the driver of the Kia, identified as 31-year-old Ariel Garcia, was fatally injured. The other driver, age 62 and not publicly identified, was seriously injured. Authorities did not have additional information was available.
