What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at  US Hwy 59 in Atlanta, TX on May 26th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:57 p.m. According to investigators, a Buick Park Avenue operated by a 56-year-old Atlanta, TX man reportedly failed to yield right of way at an intersection and collided with a Jeep Gladiator operated by 20-year-old Armando Mejia. Mejia suffered minor injuries. A 67-year-old passenger in the Buick suffered serious injuries. The Atlanta man reportedly left the scene with unknown injuries.
