What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured two people at FM 117 in Frio County, TX on July 23rd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 4:55 a.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 28-year-old Livingstoon man was attempting to turn around in a driveway after missing a turn. The truck was blocking travel lanes and in the process of the turnaround was struck by an approaching Dodge Dart operated by 53-year-old Armando Sambrano Liljenquist. Both Liljenquist and his passenger, 57-year-old Margarita Vasquez Sambrano suffered serious injuries. The Livingston man was not injured and issued a Stop, Stand or Parked on Roadway citation.
