Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured three people at Texas Ave in College Station, TX on May 6th, 2023. Police say incident happened around 6:27 p.m. According to investigators, a Buick Century operated by a 29-year-old College Station woman was headed northbound on Texas Ave beurre turning west to travel onto Brentwood Dr. A southbound Toyota Corolla was entering into the intersection at the same time, both vehicles colliding. Police say one driver alleged having a yellow light while the other alleged one driver ran a red light. 20-year-old Arnold Gomez, the driver of the Toyota, had serious injuries, according to police. His passenger and the other driver, a 29-year-old College Station woman, also had serious injuries. Authorities recommended and/or issued a Driving While Intoxicated charge against the College Station woman.
