What Happened

Authorities have information on a crash that injured three people at Florida St in Midland, TX on December 30th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:28 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-150 was eastbound on Florida St prior to allegedly running a red light at the Terrell St intersection. Reports say the Ford collided with a Chevrolet Tahoe headed northbound on Terrell, the impact caused the Tahoe to overturn into a nearby electrical pole. Reports allege the driver of the Ford and a passenger were both seriously injured. The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 35-year-old Arthur Guzman Martinez, was also seriously injured, according to police. Authorities expressed suspicion of possible alcohol involvement in the crash on the part of the Ford operator and had no additional information to share.
