What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Crighton Rd and FM 1314 in Conroe, TX on May 12th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:28 p.m. According to investigators, a commercial truck operated by a 61-year-old White Settlement man was headed eastbound on Crighton Rd behind a Dodge Ram 3500 as traffic ahead slowed. The truck is said to have failed to control its speed and collided with the Dodge, causing the driver, 64-year-old Arturo Rey, serious injuries. The other driver was not injured and cited for Failure to Control Speed and No Commercial Driver License.
