Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a woman at State Hwy 94 in Trinity County, TX on January 9th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 5:27 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer is alleged to have failed to yield before performing a left turn ahead of an eastbound Kia Soul. Officials say the vehicles collided, the crash leaving 29-year-old Kia operator, Ashley McPike, with suspected serious injuries. Following the collision, police say the tractor-trailer fled the scene, the driver later being located through a trucking company. Sources indicate a Failure to Stop and Render Aid charge was recommended and/or filed.
