Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed two people at Hwy 66 in Garland, TX on September 5th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:30 a.m. An SUV operated by 30-year-old Gustavo Huerta Jr is accused of rear-ending another vehicle, pushing it into a concrete barrier. The vehicle then overturned into a ditch and caught fire, killing two occupants at the scene. One was identified as Aurelio Cazares Frias. Huerta was arrested on two counts of Intoxication Manslaughter. Additional information was not immediately available.
