Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at FM 1696 in Walker County, TX on July 2nd, 2022. Police say the incident happened as 11-year-old A’zyrria Murphy-Jones walked along FM 1696. Investigators say she was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene after impact It was not stated if Murphy-Jones was in or near the roadway nor was it stated what time the incident occurred.
