Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at US 80 near Marshall, TX on October 15th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:15 p.m. According to investigators, a Toyota 4Runner headed westbound was reportedly attempting to pass another vehicle before colliding with the rear of a Can-Am Ryker as it re-entered the lane. The operator of the Can-Am Ryker, identified as 65-year-old Barbara Allen, died at the scene. The driver of the Toyota, identified as 22-year-old Raymond DeSantos, was charged with criminally negligent homicide. Additional information was not immediately available.
