Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at US 79 in Panola County, TX on January 7th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:13 p.m. A Mini Cooper operated by 30-year-old Chrystal Morgan is accused of running a stop sign and entering the intersection with US 79. It then collided with a Ford Fusion operated by 35-year-old Chalunda Moore. The impact caused the Fusion to overturn and roll into the parking lot of a gas station nearby, striking a pump. 58-year-old passenger Barbara Pryor suffered serious injuries in the crash. Several passengers under the age of 18 were evaluated for possible injuries. Investigators allege Morgan consumed alcoholic beverages prior to the crash.
