What Happened

Authorities have information on a collision that killed a pedestrian at US 377 in Cresson, TX on December 3rd, 2021. They're saying it happened around 9 p.m. 32-year-old Benito Sanchez-Diaz was reportedly attempting to cross the highway in an undesignated area and in a center turn lane as a vehicle approached. The vehicle, operated by a 58-year-old Fort Worth driver, was turning onto North Broad Street and apparently collided with Sanchez-Diaz while changing lanes. Sanchez-Diaz was taken to an area hospital with injuries that he later died from. Police say no charges are expected to be filed.
