What Happened

Area authorities are working to determine more information in a collision that killed two people at FM 6 in Collin County, TX on October 3rd, 2021. Police say the incident involved a Nissan Altima operated by 19-year-old Benjamin Andrus and a Chevrolet Traverse operated by 27-year-old Amanda Willoughby. Police say one of the two crossed into oncoming traffic and struck the other. Andrus died at the scene while Willoughby was hospitalized with injuries that she died from at an area hospital. Willoughby was traveling with her two daughters, twins age 7, and a 4-year-old. They were all hospitalized for treatment. Additional information was not yet available.
