What Happened

Taylor Police identified a person killed in a crash at Chandler Rd in Taylor, TX on July 21st, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:17 p.m. and named 23-year-old Benjamin Kronguaz as the victim. Investigators believe a Mercedes-Benz occupied by Kronguaz was headed eastbound before crossing into a westbound lane for unknown reasons. From there, police say the vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer, leaving Kronguaz with serious injuries. Following hospitalization, officials say Kronguaz died from those injuries on July 25th. The truck operator had minor injuries and allegedly refused treatment at the scene. Additional information was not available.
