What Happened

Area authorities have identified the three people killed in a crash at US 67 in Runnels County, TX on October 6th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10 a.m. According to investigators, a Kia Forte headed westbound US 67 was attempting to pass another vehicle at a curve in the road before crashing head-on into an eastbound Chevrolet Silverado. Two occupants of the Kia, identified as 24-year-old Benjamin Sapp and 25-year-old Jacob Gray, were killed. A third occupant was hospitalized with serious injuries. A passenger in the pickup truck, identified as 48-year-old Sarah Brown, also died at the scene. The 51-year-old driver of the same vehicle was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
