What Happened

Police are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 77 in Lavaca County, TX on September 14th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 4:52 a.m. According to investigators, a Honda Odyssey headed eastbound on FM 531 is alleged to have disregarded a stop sign before proceeding into the intersection with US 77 and colliding with a Kia Forte. Reports say the driver of the Kia, identified as 40-year-old Benjerman Raybon, was seriously injured. The other driver was not publicly identified and was allegedly uninjured and cited for Disregard Stop Sign.
