What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at Toll Loop 45 in Travis County, TX on July 14th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1:55 a.m. According to investigators, a Toyota Tundra operated by a 20-year-old driver was westbound on the toll, allegedly traveling in the wrong direction. Headed eastbound was a Buick Enclave operated by 18-year-old Bianey Flores. Police say the vehicle collided head-on, causing the Buick to overturn and catch fire in a nearby grass median. The collision left Flores with fatal injuries and the Tundra driver with suspected serious injuries. Authorities recommended and/or issued a charge of Intoxication Manslaughter.
