What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 377 in Grayson County, TX on July 29th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 4:27 p.m. According to investigators, a motorcycle operated by 63-year-old Billy Cansler was southbound as a Ford Escape was also southbound. Police allege the motorcycle was passing vehicles in the shoulder before colliding with the right side of the Ford, losing control in the process. Officials say the bike went south and crossed into a northbound lane, ejecting Cansler from the vehicle near a large tree. Officials say Cansler suffered serious injuries and was care flighted to an area hospital for treatment. The driver of the Ford was uninjured, according to officials.
