What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at Loop 336 and Frazier St in Conroe, TX on November 17th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10:26 a.m. A commercial Kenworth truck operated by 21-year-old Marcos Antonio Hernandez was reportedly was headed westbound on South Loop 336 when it reportedly began cresting down a hill towards a red light. Investigators say Hernandez told them the truck was unable to stop in time and ran the red light, colliding with a Buick Encore operated by 49-year-old Billy Joe Morgan. A27-year-old passenger was seriously injured while Morgan suffered minor injuries. Hernandez was not injured and officers suggested and/or issued a Disregarded Red Light charge.
