Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at I-30 in Hopkins County, TX on July 8th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:55 a.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Altima operated by 33-year-old Bobby Brantley Jr is believed to have been headed westbound, approaching a curve in the roadway. Investigators believe the vehicle veered from the road into a guardrail before going into a skid and traveling into a nearby ditch. The vehicle collided with a tree, causing Brantley to be ejected from the vehicle into a nearby creek. Brantley suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
