Police say the incident happened around 8 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by a 21-year-old Dallas man was headed southwest on State Hwy 43 when it failed to yield right of way to approaching traffic and turned left onto FM 1794. The vehicle was struck by a Mercury Grand Marquis operated by 76-year-old Bonnie Williams Davis. Davis suffered serious injuries in the collision. The other driver was not injured and cited for Failure to Yield Row to Approaching Traffic.
