What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that killed a person at US Hwy 82 in DeKalb, TX on August 14th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 7 a.m. A Chevrolet Silverado operated by 44-year-old Bradly Lara was turning from a westbound lane into a parking lot and it said to have failed to yield. It then collided with a tractor-trailer, causing Lara fatal injuries. The driver of the truck, 42-year-old Jason McManus, was not injured.
