Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a child at State Hwy 153 in Taylor County, TX on June 6th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 7:13 a.m. According to investigators, a Honda Pilot was navigating a northbound curve on State Hwy 153 while towing a trailer. Traveling southbound at the same time was a Toyota Tundra. Reports say the Honda lost control while navigating the curve, veering from the roadway. While attempting to correct itself, the vehicle is said to have made contact with the Toyota, the impact sending the Toyota into a nearby ditch. Reports say a child in the Honda was ejected in the impact and suffered fatally injured at the scene. An additional child in the vehicle was seriously injured as was the driver. The driver of the Toyota and a 39-year-old passenger were also seriously injured while an 8-year-old passenger had minor injuries. Additional information was not available.
