What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured three people at I-35 in Austin, TX in February 6th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 9:59 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Camaro operated by a 33-year-old New Braunfels man was headed northbound before colliding with a guardrail. It then hit the rear of a Ford SUV operate dry 38-year-old Brandi Payne. Payne, the other driver and 2-year-old child in his vehicle are all believed to have suffered minor injuries. Officers recommended an Intoxication Assault charge against the New Braunfels man.
