What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 259 in Nacogdoches County, TX on December 16th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 9:38 p.m. A tractor-trailer headed northbound on US 259 when it reportedly attempted a left u-turn. Investigators say the truck turned when unsafe and collided with a a GMC Yukon operated by 69-year-old Brenda Kay Epstein. Epstein suffered minor injuries in the crash. A 68-year-old passenger was also injured while the truck driver, a 43-year-old Grove City, OH man, was not injured. Records indicate he was charged with Turning When Unsafe.
