What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed two people at State Hwy 103 in Angelina County, TX on March 24th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:35 p.m. Investigators say a Toyota 4Runner headed eastbound on State Hwy 103 reportedly swerved left to avoid colliding with a school bus stopped ahead with lights activated and a stop sign out. It then collided head-on with a Nissan Maxima operated by 54-year-old Nelda Standley. Standley and Tarver suffered fatal injuries in the collision.
