What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-35E in Denton, TX on May 29th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9:57 p.m. Investigators say a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 35-year-old Brian Decker was headed southbound on the service road when it veered from the road into a grass shoulder. It then struck a culvert and went airborne before landing and striking an additional culvert, which caused the truck to flip over. Reports indicate Decker was seriously injured and show a DWI charge being recommended and/or issued.
