What Happened

Lufkin Police are investigating a collision that killed a man at AutoZone on S Timberland Dr in Lufkin, TX on November 24th, 2021. An 18-wheeler operated by 62-year-old Brian Golliday lost control for unknown reasons and veered from the road around 4:25 a.m. The truck then collided through the AutoZone nearby before landing in a ditch. Golliday suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Investigators say they were informed by family members that Golliday suffered from heart related problems in the past and that it could have been a contributing factor in the crash.
