What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed two people at FM 1314 and Crighton Rd in Montgomery County, TX on February 16th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 6:15 p.m. According to investigators, a pair of sedans collided head-on under unclear circumstances. Reports indicate one of the vehicles was a Kia Forte headed southbound that authorities allege entered into a northbound lane for unclear reasons. There, police say it struck the other vehicle, a Honda Civic, head-on, before the vehicles caught fire. Reports indicate the driver, 27-year-old Tyler Owen Jr,  and woman in the Kia were killed. The driver of the Honda, identified as 24-year-old Brianna Giron, was seriously injured, reports say. Additional information was not immediately available.
