Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 2020 in Ector County, TX on February 3rd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 8:30 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado was headed westbound in a left-turn only lane. Headed eastbound on FM 2020 was a Kia Soul. Reports allege the Silverado failed to yield right of way before turning left at the Redondo Ave intersection, colliding with the approaching Kia. Officials say the driver of the Kia, a 26-year-old Odessa man who was not publicly identified, was seriously injured. Also seriously injured, according to police, was 27-year-old Kia passenger, Brianna Lara. A 9-year-old in the same vehicle was also injured while the 58-year-old driver of the Silverado had possible injuries. Sources indicate that driver was charged with Intoxication Assault and Failure to Yield. Additional information was not available.
