What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-45 in League City, TX on June 11th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 8:25 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado operated by a 40-year-old Houston man was headed northbound at the time. Police allege the vehicle performed an unsafe lane change, striking the passenger side rear bumper of a BMW X-5 in an adjacent lane. This caused the Silverado to strike an additional vehicle, leaving a Lexus NX operated by 29-year-old Brigette Teague to collide with the rear of the Silverado. The impact caused the Lexus to strike a concrete barrier nearby, leaving Teague with suspected serious injuries. A passenger in the same vehicle, age 26, had less serious injuries, according to police. The Houston man also had suspected minor injuries and authorities recommended a Driving While Intoxicated charge. Additional information was not available.
