Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at State Hwy 56 in Grayson County, TX on August 29th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 12:15 p.m. A commercial truck operated by a 44-year-old Whitesboro man was traveling eastbound on TX-56 when it failed to control it speed and collided with a passenger vehicle slowing to make a left turn onto FM 901. The driver of the passenger car, 24-year-old Brittnee Hooten was seriously injured. The Whitesboro man was not injured and charged with Failure to Control Speed.
