What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured three people at State Hwy 70 in Gray County, TX on July 30th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 4:46 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Tahoe operated by a 65-year-old Pampa man was northbound before veering from the road. Upon returning to the road, police say the vehicle hid a guardrail before striking Ford Expedition operated by 39-year-old Brooke Godino. Godino suffered non-life-threatening injuries according to police. A child passenger in the vehicle also had non-life-threatening injuries while the Pampa man was more seriously injured. Sources indicate a Failure to Control Speed charge was recommended and/or issued against the Pampa man.
