What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a collision that injured a driver at US 59 in Livingston, TX on October 29th, 2021. Police say the incident took place around 2:10 p.m. According to initial investigation, a commercial tractor-trailer operated by a 50-year-old Houston man was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed on southbound US 59 when it attempted to come to a stop in traffic. The brakes on the truck are said to have locked up in the process, causing it to lose control and crashed into a previously downed light pole at the scene. The police was pushed into a disabled Ford Mustang and its driver, 20-year-old Bryce Yosko, who was standing near the vehicle. Yosko was transported to an area hospital with suspected serious injuries while the Houston man was believed to be uninjured. A citation for Failure to Drive in Single Lane was issued against the Houston man.
