Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 1988 in Polk County, TX on May 16th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 8:56 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Ram 1500 was eastbound on FM 1988, rounding a curve in the roadway. As it did so, reports allege the vehicle entered into a westbound lane, colliding with a westbound Cadillac Escalade. The impact is said to have caused the Cadillac to spin from the roadway into a nearby barrow tech, leaving 53-year-old driver, Byron Hughes, seriously injured.
