Authorities in Vidor, TX, are investigating a rear-end collision that occurred on January 17, 2025, at approximately 6:29 p.m. on Farm-to-Market Road 105. Investigators are saying a Nissan Sentra, allegedly driven by a 45-year-old female, failed to control speed and collided with a 2011 GMC Sierra that was slowing to make a right turn. The GMC operator, identified as 67-year-old Calvin Hays, sustained serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Three passengers in the GMC, ages 15, 10, and 8, suffered minor injuries.
