What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 77 in Willacy County, TX on December 13th, 2023.  Police say the incident happened around 3:10 p.m. Investigators allege a tractor-trailer, operated by 64-year-old Camil Custovic, was southbound on US 77 at that time. Officials say the truck lost control on the wet roads and hydroplaned into a guardrail before falling over an overpass. The crash caused the truck to catch fire and left Custovic seriously injured, reports say. There were no other reported injuries. Additional information was not available.
