What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a woman at  Loop 340 and 484 in Waco, TX on August 4th, 2021. Police say it happened around 11:10 p.m. A Ford F-250 operated by an unknown driver was headed eastbound on Loop 340 as it approached a northbound Toyota Corolla operated by 33-year-old Candice Nicole Landers. The Ford the proceeded to run a stop and go light, colliding with the Corolla, before overturning onto its side. The driver of the Ford fled the scene, leaving Landers behind with serious injuries. Responding officers say multiple alcoholic beverages were located in the Ford.
