Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at US 82 near Knox, TX on July 20th, 2023. Officials say the incident happened around 6 a.m. Investigators believe a Hyundai was headed eastbound on US 82 at the time, allegedly at a high rate of speed. It has been alleged that as a Dodge was exiting a private drive onto US 82, it collided with the Dodge. It was further alleged the Dodge was operating whiteout active headlights. The operator of the Dodge, identified as 72-yer-old Candido Uribe, was killed in the collision after both vehicles caught fire on impact.
