What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured four people at US 287 in Fort Worth, TX on May 15th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 9:23 p.m. According to investigators, a Mercedes-Benz GLE was northbound on Main Street, approaching multiple vehicles ahead stopped at a red light. Reports allege the Mercedes-Benz failed to control its speed prior to colliding with the rear of Toyota Highlander ahead. Reports say the Mercedes also struck an additional vehicle which caused that vehicle to strike another. Officials say the driver of the Toyota, identified as 31-year-old Carina Rivas Reyes, was seriously injured. Two child passengers in the vehicle had alleged minor injuries while the driver of the Mercedes was also allegedly seriously injured. Additional information was not available.
