What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person at State Hwy 21 in Anna, TX on April 20th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 4:08 p.m. According to investigators, a Kia Soul was reportedly previously involved in a hydroplane accident that saw the vehicle become disabled. Its operator, identified as 57-year-old Carla Hines, was waiting for the arrival of tow truck as a Jeep Wrangler approached. Reports say the Jeep also hydroplaned, veering from the roadway and striking the disabled Kia. Hines suffered fatal injuries in the  incident, police say. The driver of the Jeep was not publicly identified and was allegedly uninjured. Additional  information was not available.
